Aramids are synthetic fibers known for their exceptional strength, heat resistance, and flame resistance, high wear resistance, good flexibility, low shrinkage, chemical structure. They have a high melting point and do not easily ignite or support combustion. And the advantages of stability, no molten droplet burning, no poisonous gas and so on.
Advantages of Aramid FR Fabric
Aramid stitchbond flame retardant fabric is a type of flame-resistant material that combines the properties of aramid fibers, stitchbond construction, and flame retardant treatment. It has a durable fabric with good dimensional stability and tear resistance.
Can be used for a long time at a temperature of 250 degrees Celsius, and its thermal shrinkage rate is only 1%.
The softening temperature of the fiber is 373 degrees Celsius, and it begins to decompose when it exceeds 400 degrees Celsius. During the decomposition, the cloth surface thickens and the fibers expand.
The outside of the cloth surface is insulated from heat transfer at 900-1300 degrees Celsius without cracking.
To enhance the flame retardant properties of the aramid stitchbond fabric, additional flame retardant treatments are applied. These treatments can include chemical finishes or coatings that provide an extra layer of fire resistance. The specific flame retardant chemicals used may vary depending on the desired level of fire resistance and the intended application of the fabric.
